Anyone used Maternity Acupressure to start labour off?

Just wondered anyone tried and tested acupressure, or brought a downloadable book online?

Really need to get baby out now as full term and miserable. All other natural methods are not working!

god I'm with you there (nothing seems to be bringing her out ).. have been doing it at home using book but think need to book in for an appt -apparently the magic thing is something that involves needles in your ears.

Friend had this done and baby popped out that night.

Oh just found a website with all the acupressure points on it.

www.childbirthsolutions.com

Am going to try that now, rope DH into it. It's either me in a crappy mood for the next few weeks or anothe DD! I think I know which one he would prefer.

Good luck with the rest of the pregnancy and fingers crossed for you, that your DD will be with you sooner rather than later.

sketchi- will be looking at that too.
Good luck to you too -let me know how you go

HI Poppy

Go to the website, there will be a table on left hand side, click on 'Birth'

The scroll down the page, and there will be a bold hading 'Labor' (americanised!) and the acupressure info and diagrams of what to do is the 2nd or 3rd one down.

Hope this helps. Will be trying this today!

got dh back on this yesterday - it definitely seemed to help a bit as had some contractions last night and period pain but now petered out.

have now decided to find a local acupuncture person and see what they can do...off there in a bit so will report back later (be interesting to see if they use the same points etc).

sketchi -24 hours on and acupuncture seems to have done very little (except wake baby up more ) ... they said it could take up to 36 hours but not holding my breath

Nothing my end either Poppy34, tried acippresure for the last 2 days and a few tightenings but nothing other than that.

very disappointed, need her out as I think DH is going to divorce me soon....never had hormonal rages like it. Even phoned MW today and I'll ask her for a sweep I'm that desperate!

Get a pro to do it. I did with DD3 after being late/induced with the other 2. I had baby within 12 hours. 2 hours max labour. I'd highly recommend it.

I did it to myself at 40 plus 3 and had her the next day...
