pain after c-section

Has anyone had swelling/inflamation in the pelvic area after c-section? i had a c-section 9 weeks ago and everytime i go, even for a short walk, i swell up above my scar, which then becomes painful. The scar isnt infected and i have been to the doctor who has just given me pain killers. Surely i shouldnt be getting this now. I am getting cabin fever from staying in with my baby as any activity makes me swell up. How is this going to get better when any bending involves this area of my body? It is really getting me down now.

I would get your doctor to refer you back to the hospital for a scan. There could be an internal infection (I had this). I think your gp has been a bit casual really, things should be feeling better by now.

I second going back to your GP. I've had 2 c sections and this has never happened. Last time I was back to normal activity by 7 weeks. If your Gp remains unhelpful then go to A&E but do get it seen to. Hope all works out.
