C section

I had my second c section 6 days ago.

This was an emergency. Previous was planned.

My scar itself is very burny. It's hard to walk and very sore.

I am aware it is still very early days but the pain killers don't help with that sort of pain. I did get my incision looked at yesterday and they said it is slightly red but not infected.

Has anyone got any suggestions on how they helped there scar burning so much? It's mainly on the left side and it's an awful pulling sensation to.

Thank you ❤️

What type of painkillers do you have? Paracetamol and ibuprofen didn't cut it for me and I got stronger from my GP.
I remember the pain feeling like a red hot poker going through my skin so I don't envy you, OP. Rest when you can, I know it's tough, but it's a big operation and you need to recuperate x

I found my emergency far harder to recover from than the planned as with the emergency they are rushing to get baby out and they are not as careful as with a planned.

I also had a lot of scar tissue with emergency in the months afterwards, they were able to cut through it was the second planned one and only some of that came back. The pulling when I used to sneeze or cough was dreadful

@Sosocold they have given me hydrocodeine as well but haven't really found it that helpful. It doesn't help I also had a uterine rupture so the pain is worse than before. I'll definitely give the GP a call on Monday. Thank you for your wise words. Sometimes you got to sit back and think this was major surgery!

@mumofsevenfluffs it is definitely a lot harder! Sorry to hear about all the scary tissue. Yeah they definitely wasn't as careful this time round! X
