my son had abnormal blood test when he was born has there was complications in my birth. Since then the blood test have been normal and now the doctors are pushing us to genetic testing to see if there is some underlying issues. Do you think we should undertake the testing which will take six months to arrive? Please respond

I would yes, best to be prepared if needed. You must feel worried and upset and I hope you’re ok.

OP, if they are offering to find something out about your DS, why wouldn’t you want to know? If the genetic testing comes back negative, you will have nothing to worry about; if it indicates an underlying issue, the doctors will advise next steps. It can’t do any harm and it might do some good. I know that six months is a long time to wait, but if it were my DS, I would want to know one way or the other.
