Got a planned section booked due to big baby, but What happens if I go into labour naturally before then if my baby’s position isn’t great, will I be able to have an emergency section?

Yes. It will go to a cat 3 C-section rather than cat 4 - no threat to life but no longer at a time of yours/consultants’ choosing.

This happened to me. My water broke two weeks before my scheduled section. I was put on a list as an emergency but it was all super calm and controlled. I just didn’t know what time they’d fit me in. I waited about six hours and then was wheeled down and all done.
