hi everyone,

my two week old was born C sec, she has terrible phlegm, I’ve been sucking her nose but most of the mucus is on her chest and throat, the midwife suggested to use a Vapor plug in but they say from 3 months to use them so I’m not sure if it’s safe or not, she finds it a little difficult to eat and I’m worrying about her sleeping on her back incase she chokes in her sleep.

if anyone has any good tips for her sleep or to clean it out her chest that would be amazing!

Have you got a snot sucker? These work wonders!

Baby on their back is the safest but if you and (and assuming you have) your partner want to, you could sleep her on your chest while sitting up, in shifts, and sleep when you don't have her on your chest.

Whenever you have a bath or shower, bring her in with you to the room, the warm air and moisture will help loosen it up as well.
