Hi,

I'm 35 weeks today and this afternoon iv been having on and off stitch like pains. it’s been going on a few hours now. Feeling comes every 5 mins or so.

I can’t really explain the feeling, it’s uncomfortable rather than a sharp pain but very noticeable. It’s round the side of my bump and my back. It’s not a tightening feeling and it’s not getting any better/ worse. I can feel the baby moving loads as normal.

this is my second pregnancy but I had a planned CS last time and didn’t have anything like this.

any ideas?

Braxton hicks, maybe? Could also be early labour, so keep a note of them and trust your instincts.

I did wonder if it was Braxton hicks but it was happening frequently, online it said BH were a few an hour 🤷🏻‍♀️ it stopped late last night and iv not had the pains this morning.
hopefully it was nothing 🤞🏻 x

If they start up again, it might be worth giving triage a call if only for some advice/reassurance. I wish you all the best for the birth xx

Edited for wording.
