I had a c section 11 weeks ago iv been to the doctors a couple of times but they dont seem to be much help.. im having pains between the scar and my belly button and pain above my hip, pain relief doesn't seem to be helping.. surely I shouldn't be having pain this long after? Any help or advice would be much appreciated

I've had two c sections and I think 11 weeks is too long to still be in pain. Have you spoken to your midwife or are you signed off? I'd go back to drs again if not.

What sort of pain are you feeling OP? Is it soreness, or something like a sharp pain? I ask because my c section pain was a horrific nerve pain on one side where they operated, I couldn’t stand up straight for weeks and the Drs and midwife had no idea, they just recommended physio which I never went to, it was the last thing I wanted to do. But overtime I forced myself to bend/stretch, stand up straight, walks etc and it went away. It seemed like movement helped as well as resting lots and taking pain relief, it is major surgery after all. Sorry the doctors aren’t helping much

It feels bruised and burns like it should be hot to touch but its not, when I had my first midwife visit should couldn't believe the bruising I had and it was more on my left side so im wondering if it has something to do with that, I wasnt able to feel my self needing to wee and still now cant feel it like I could before there sending me for scans and iv done a self referral for physio, it hurt to sit and it hurts when I walk feel like I cant win, they didn't offer me any pain relief just said paracetamol but they dont do anything. Im signed off from the midwife and i went to the doctors 2 days ago and tbh they didnt seem bothered at all..Thank you for your reply

Could you go for a mummy MOT at a physio or osteopath? It could be scar tissue pulling or something like that. I had a few osteo sessions after the MOT and it made a real difference to the pain, discomfort, pulling etc

Iv done a self referral for physio still waiting to hear from them.. hopefully they can help because even sitting to feed my baby is uncomfortable
