I’ve got a 3 day old baby and I’ve woke up with the worst cold of my life from my toddler 😭 toddler, me and dad all have it so our house is a germ fest now… how can I prevent my newborn catching it?! I’m so worried for them 😢 I am breastfeeding so I know he’ll get some antibodies but I can’t not kiss him etc ahh I’m stressing can someone tell me he may not catch it ? I dunno just send me stories of positivity 🙏

Don't worry about it. Your antibodies will stop him getting ill. Just carry on as normal.

He probably won't catch it.
I had a terrible cold and eye infection when my son was born and my toddler had a chest infection. I was breastfeeding.
He was fine! He didn't pick anything up from either of us.
I hope you feel better soon.

DS2 is nearly 13 weeks old. Since he’s been born I’ve had a throat infection, numerous colds and so has DS1 (thanks nursery) and DH has too. DS2 is breastfeed and hasn’t caught anything! I was worried too but hopefully that reassures you.
