Hey, I’m a FTM and due any day now, I feel like at the beginning of the week my body was trying to go into labor, with intense cramping a few contractions that was inconsistent, loosing show/ mucus plug, having a bad stomach ect. I had a sweep done and I wasn’t dilated at all, and now all of my symptoms have disappeared, no cramps or anything it’s as if my body has given up on me. I’m not sure why this has happened or if this is normal. I’m trying everything recommended to bring baby along or to kick start my body but it just feels like I’m going to be stuck like this 😂

Trust me, you aren't going to be stuck like this, nor has your body given up on you. Look on all this as your body preparing and the relevant muscles limbering up - with any luck, it might actually make labour a bit easier. Good luck!

I had this with my second labour, was just getting ready to ring the delivery ward when everything just stopped. When it started back up again it was all so fast, trust your body.

Totally normal! Hopefully soon for you. 🤞🏼 Just to say good to ask if your baby is OA or OP at your next check. Stop start labour common in OP I think - had it for 2 weeks on my first!

That happens during my previous labours.
The thing that worked to encourage the stop/start contractions was using a breast pump.

Both times I did that the contractions ramped up and I was in labour properly

echoing the breast pump comment, worked for me and my sister in law too! Good luck!

HPpened to me with two of mine. It was still doing work towards the birth and when I actually was in labour it was very quick. Hopefully the same for you!
