Im due in February and terrified of giving birth. Any advice ? Which is better and less painful. My baby is slightly large and I’m unsure what to do!! What are your experiences ?

My first was a natural birth. She was 12 days late and big, her shoulders got stuck. It was not a good experience.
Second, i booked a c section, they weren't keen to let me have it but i insisted.
I would choose the section every time. Recovery time about the same for both.

There's no easy way to give birth, and people's experiences vary wildly. C-sections carry a lot of risks, and recovery isn't straightforward, just like vaginal birth can be.

I'd recommend working on your fear and mindset first, before discussing with your care team. You'll need to be mentally strong to get the most enjoyment out of either one.

The pop that mumma birth course was brilliant in my experience! Talked about embracing the pain instead of trying to avoid it.

For what it's worth, I've had two drastically different birth experiences and birth is only 1-2 days in your entire motherhood.

I've done both a vaginal birth with epidural, and then a planned c-secion (as he was breech).

Both were basically fine, though I was fit and healthy in advance.

I'd 100% go for the planned c-section, it was a breeze compared with the first:

You know when it's going to happen
No contractions!!!
No stretching/tearing of vag and associated stinging wees/fear of sex
Scar healed to almost invisible
Easy quick recovery

But others have had a much harder time with c sections.

Best of luck whatever you do x
