Hi all I had a episiotomy and 2nd degree tear 8 weeks ago, I still get some soreness down there and it’s not completely flat I can’t describe it. I’m just wondering what it normally looks like down below at 8 weeks pp?
I’m also terrified to dtd as s** was painful for me before hand since having my eldest 4 year ago via c-section, how long did you wait?

I had a cut rather than tear but a hideous infection. Took 8 weeks before it even healed over. Saw the perineal clinic to check on it - you can ask for a referral if concerned. But eventually saw a specialist privately who said stretching regularly was the best thing to reduce scarring and improve elasticity. Hence frequent sex if I could manage was one of the best treatments! Failing that, using my own fingers (sorry, bit grim). Started dtd at 3 months.
