Diarrhea before labour?

I’m 40+5 today and over the last couple of days my stools have been getting looser.. the past 24 hours (and particularly the last 16 or so hours) they have been very watery diarrhea. I think in the past 16 hours I’ve been to the loo about 8 or more times! I’ve had some on/off cramping but nothing like consistent contractions yet. Aside from that I feel well - appetite hasn’t waned (food just exits fast!!) and I’ve been for a long walk today. I’m trying to stay as hydrated as possible too. I know diarrhea can be a sign labour is near - just interested to hear people’s experiences and how long they had diarrhea before labour kicked off.

All 3 times I had horrible diarrhoea on the lead up to giving birth. It was about a week of it from memory

It’s really normal , your body is clearing itself out before the birth. I had very loose stools for a week beforehand then barfed a lot in early labour. On the upside you are less likely to poo yourself during labour.
