Rectoceles and childbirth?

On reading an old thread on which they were mentioned I think I have a rectocele (wall of rectum bulging inside vagina) - it hasn't caused any problems so hadn't gone to GP but is visible inside entrance to vagina. Probably caused by huge dd1 (head on 99th centile) making her way out 18 mths ago.

Do rectoceles cause any problems when giving birth to subsequent children or will it just be effectively pushed out of the way? Will mention it at my next m/w visit (not for a month) but would be grateful for any reassurance or otherwise!

I don't think it will. I have had one since I gave birth to dd (2nd child) and my third delivery was the quickest and easiest out of them all. I think the rectocele has got worse since though!

Thanks for the (at least partial!)reassurance Wale - I'll raise it at my next m/w visit but won't panic too much in the meantime
