Back to back early labour

Looking to see if anyone has experienced this before.

39+5 weeks, at last scan on 30th october baby was measuring 8lb 9oz and back to my left side.

Ive had a 4 sweeps. 1st sweep 31st october, muccus plug started coming away, 2nd sweep 2nd november didnt really feel anything from this but muccus plug continues to come away, 3rd sweep 4th november was quite uncomfortable and my Bishop score had went from 1 to 6. Getting ready for 4th sweep was yesterday and had my bloody show, went to hospital for sweep was told I was only 2cms dilated and baby's head wasnt engaged enough but sweep was done anyway.

Since 1am this morning ive been up with what feels like kidney infection/uti pain in my left side and more bloody show.

Just wondering if anyone has experienced this and could this be the start of labour? Its my 4th baby and all other labours have been back to belly so not sure what it feels like to have back to side/back to back.

Booked in for another sweep tomorrow morning but really hoping this is it.

With my back to back the entire pain was in my lower back. Absolutely no pain in the front whatsoever so could be. Felt like pain around my kidney area.

@candycanetime yeah this pain is in my left side/back where you would expect kidney pain to be. Hot water bottles aren't even nudging the pain 🙈

I hate to say it but it was horrendous! The only relief I got was from my husband pressing the base of my back really hard. The midwives advised it so give it a go!

Same as candycane here, my belly felt very tight round the front but all pain was my lower back and it was relentless.

The only relief im getting at the moment is chest resting on birthing ball and knees on the floor gently rocking back and forward and side to side, had a hot bath which dod help for about 1 hour 30 but the pain came right back again

@pavementangel had to go to triage this morning as I woke to fresh red blood and was still getting the pain in left side/back. No idea where the bleeding had come from but it had stopped by the time I got to triage and nothing further while there.

They didnt put the two issues together but wanted to keep me in and break my waters, I was 2cms dialated.

They did say that there was no space on labour ward and I would need to wait for one which could have been hours or days so I decided to come home but if any more bleeding I would go back up ASAP. 5th sweep was done while being examined.

All has been fine since getting home, had braxton hicks/contractions averaging 60 seconds every 8 mins but since heading to bed for a nap they have eased off again lol.

Waiting game to see if its going to kick off early hours or if I will be back at MLU for my 6th sweep on Tuesday x
