Induction second time around?

Has anyone had two inductions? I had one for dd 4 years ago as she was 2 weeks late and my midwife now thinks I may need one this time- only 40+3 at the moment so I am still hopeful that this wil turn out not to be the case. Dd was posterior as is this one, and the midwife has suggested that this is the reason that I go overdue. She has also said that the shape of my pelvis might encourage my babies to lie like this. Will an induction differ vastly from my first experience? I know second labours are meant to be easier, but is this the case with induced labours, especially ones with OP presentation? Having already experienced induction, I know what I don't want to happen- being strapped to monitors and having no mobility for example, so in thta respect I am a bit more prepared. I am having a sweep tomorrow so I hope that may get things started- I am having braxton hicks this time around, which never happened with dd so I am taking that as a positive sign that my body is trying to get things started by itself [fingers crossed]

Good luck. I was induced both times due to high blood pressure. 2nd time is definitely easier - by far! I was hooked up to the monitor the whole time, but was able to spend the first part sitting on a ball which helped, so although I was pretty immobile, I wasn't up on the bed on my back. Once I got onto the bed, I was also able to hang over the head of the bed on my tummy (IYSWIM?) Everything was much faster, and the pushing stage was pretty quick. IME the sweep was the worst part of it both times). If I was ever doing it again, I would ask for some sort of drugs before the sweep.

Don't have any experience of OP position though.

Best of luck with it. You could always try curries and sex to get things going!
