For purely logistical reasons - I have to go away to deliver as there are no local facilities (islands) and my first child was a month early.

Usually, you go away 2 weeks before due date but I will have to go 3-4 weeks before. Alone apart from 2yr old toddler and DH will hopefully join me closer to due date if no action.

We have to rent somewhere and cover DH's work at home. Pricey!!

Does this sound like reasonable grounds for induction at due date if no action by then?

God, I'd be avoiding an induction at all costs, but I can see your issue.
