Lochia or period?

Was hoping for some advice

I had my baby by csection about 2 weeks ago. The lochia bleeding stopped early on this week. I've had bleeding restart today and it's red again. I was wondering if anyone else has had this? Is it normal for lochia to come back and red? Or could it be my period already?

I haven't been particularly more active or anything and no other symptoms

I gave birth 3 weeks ago, and my lochia bleeding at this point is quite start-stop. After a quiet few days, it will suddenly start gushing, so possibly yours is similar.

2 weeks feels early to get your period back so my guess would be lochia x

After a c section you can start bleeding again if you over do it. I’d say it’s that rather than a period!

It stopped again after my mini panic so must not be period thankfully. Don't think I can handle another thing!

The lochia faded down again, but I was sat for about an hour today feeding and when I stood up I had a gush of blood that filled about half a pad so that has stressed me out again. Did you get this as well @PurpleTurtleMoose

Very much so: mine will be light for ages, but then suddenly have a burst of heaviness, especially after activity or if I stand up after sitting/lying for a while, or sometimes while in the shower or while breastfeeding

Me again :(

I'm now 3 weeks postpartum. The bleeding has been quite stop start but not as heavy as when it filled half a pad.

Today though, twice I noticed blood clots in the toilet...I'm not bleeding on the pad but I wondered if this was normal at 3 weeks?! I haven't noticed any clots until now...

Theyre bigger than I expected but not 50p sized I don't think.

Has anyone else experienced this

I would get your midwife to check you out, you might have an infection. My bleeding had stopped by then or shoulf be very light at this stage.

The bleeding has been lighter this week with very little on the pad, which is why The clots in the toilet bowl threw me

I did go to get my csection wound seen this eek and was told there's no infection
