Try having nice warm baths and paracetamol can help as well.

Slow labour is okay. The baby is just getting into the right position.

Do you have birthing ball or gym ball? Try sitting on that and rocking gently. Also go on all fours and when the pain is too much stick your bum up in the air.

Yep on av about 3-4 hot baths per day, iv tried Pineapple, rasberry leaf tea, sex (not again tho LOL) and my ball...Although i could use it more2b honest....So i am normal and ill KNOW when he's making an appearance? xx

Yes it's all normal. Try not to worry. First timers tend to have slower labours (there are always exceptions to the rule) but mostly they go slowly. They don't follow the ridiculous 1cm per hour that hospitals allow. So... stay home as long as you can. When your contractions have established themselves and labour has really started the contractions will last 45+ seconds and this will go on for quite a while. Only then do you need to worry about the length of time between them.

Make sure to eat and drink and to rest where you can.

Oh and start a thread when you're in labour because we love a good labour thread.

Btw... have you tried nipple stimulation? Roll the nipple between your fingers or get your partner to it for you.
