Which hospital in/around Manchester

Hi all,

Has anyone recently given birth in Warrington and Halton hospital and can share their opinion of the care? I’m trying to choose in which hospital to give birth to my second child… with the first I had chosen St Mary’s but they transferred me to another hospital in the last moment as they were too busy and the care I had received until then I wasn’t happy with. However, I keep seeing people recommending St Mary’s so I’m again unsure. Any recent experience of either of these two would be appreciated.

I fully recommend St Mary's but I am interested to know what care left you unhappy? Maybe other posters will be able to offer other choices.

They were really busy and I basically had to wait two days for an induction after my waters broke as they had no rooms available. Then on the third day they transferred me to another hospital. At this point I had not slept for 3 days with bad contractions and was so tired the labour was really traumatic. But I’ve seen many people recommend St Mary’s so it seems I just had bad luck
