Anyone have a sweep that worked with 3rd child

I’ll be 39+2 tomorrow when I have a sweep. Sweeps never worked with my first two kids - anyone have one that actually worked in a 2nd/3rd pregnancy if they never have before?

I didn’t have a sweep with my first two, but did with my third and it definitely worked! Baby arrived within 24 hours.

I also didn’t have a sweep with my first 2 but had my third at 40 and they were gunning for an induction on my due date, which I was keen to avoid. Had the sweep on the Tuesday and the baby came on the Friday. Not sure if that means it worked but the midwife (who was great) said that if the baby didn’t come that day she would be there by the weekend so clearly knew her stuff!

I hadn’t had a sweep with baby 1 or 2 (and both arrived before 40w) but baby no.3 was being monitored for growth and I had a booked induction for 39w.

Went for the sweep on friday night, the midwife called it unsuccessful, she said she couldn’t reach and my cervix was too far back.

Less than 12 hours later I was holding my baby at 38+3. It obviously did something!

i had many many sweeps in all five pregnancies. The only time one “worked” was in pregnancy 2 at 41+2, labour started maybe an hour or so after the sweep and she was born the next morning

The other 4, nothing and ended up being induced each time.
