Laxido after c section

Had my second ELCS on Monday afternoon and have been taking laxido from the hospital since Tuesday evening. It’s now Saturday and I’ve been taking it twice a day and am still yet to pass more than something that resembles a malteaser (only two movements like this). I don’t actually feel constipated but feel very aware that I’ve not passed much at all and wondered if others had a similar experience? Bowel is definitely working as getting some gas and can feel it doing things. Been super hydrated and eating fibrous foods I just don’t know whether I should try a laxative or whether the laxido will suddenly do something? I know it isn’t a laxative and a stool softener but I just wonder what it’s actually doing in there!

Can you increase the number of sachets until you have a movement? Make sure you’re drinking LOTS of water / squash.

Yes do get something. I was an idiot after mine and didn't take the meds at all! I was so constipated it was probably the worst part about the whole labour/giving birth. I literally couldn't walk because of it, I took all sorts and in the end the only thing that worked, after several tries, was suppositories.

Thank you both,@WorthyOtterI'm going to try a suppository today. It’s really bothering me mentally that I haven’t gone which sounds ridiculous but the longer it goes on the worse I feel. Wish me luck!

I had Magnesium with every meal and lefax (don’t know what the Uk equivalent is?).
Was able to go to the bathroom right the day after surgery. Also tried to move slowly around fast. This and chewing gum helps!
