Elective C-Section Date - When did you get yours?

I am currently 38+2 weeks pregnant. I got my consent form for my C Section signed by my consultant at 30 weeks. Got told by my midwife I would get a phone call the week before my section was booked in. So if section was booked for the 24th April, I would’ve been phoned on 17th April. Heard nothing as of yet and getting a bit impatient!!

I am in Scotland so not sure if it is different here? With it being the Easter weekend too, I doubt I will get a phone call on Easter Monday. I will be 39 weeks on Thursday!

From what I can remember, my date was given to me way in advance. Mine was due to potential rupturing of my womb so I suppose it was pretty essential!

I'd all the hospital and ask.

I was given mine a week in advance. Although I had gone to triage because of some reduced movement concerns and then had a conversation with the consultant as baby was measuring very big and we decided a c-section there and then. From memory though, friends who have had an ELCS were usually given their date at least a week in advance.

It’s a week in advance and should be booked for your 39th week, so I’d imagine you’ll hear Tues - Thurs for the week after x
