Post c section clothes

Can anyone recommend any comfy post c section clothes.

im thinking something like stretchy yoga trousers - a bit flared rather than leggings. Needs to be affordable and long enough in the leg - I’m about 5’7 but with long legs and lots of the cheaper options I find come up quite short.

what else did people wear? I normally live in jeans and t shirt but thinking I might need to be a bit comfier in the beginning at least

I really struggle finding nice clothes , esp since can’t look round town and try on at the moment so need to be able to order online.

I’m almost 6 weeks post my second section and both times I wore (and am still wearing) my maternity dresses. I also have a pair of H&M jersey maternity trousers which have been comfortable to wear, as well as my Seraphine maternity leggings. But overall, I prefer the dresses.

I found high waist joggers the most comfortable. They sat high above the incision, leggings or yoga pants style I found uncomfortable as they were tighter on that area.
When is your section booked? It’s almost warm enough for maxi dresses so they will be comfortable.

I got a decent pair of cuffed jersey joggers from Very. Anything high waisted and not too tight is good. I lived in loose dresses with a little pair of cotton bicycle shorts underneath for just a little extra support.

I bought some Next black maternity pjs in the size above. I could not even bear to wear leggings/maternity leggings for weeks afterwards and these pjs were a lifesaver. They looked more like loungewear and getting them in both maternity and a size up meant I barely felt them across my stomach for those first couple of weeks.

I went back into my maternity leggings initially and am now wearing my normal maternity clothes - I was happy in maternity jeans etc by day 3. I didn’t buy anything specially for afterwards other than decent pants.

I carried on wearing my maternity clothes for a week or two, including jeans, it really wasn’t a problem. Then back into normal clothes, didn’t need anything special.

I wore pyjamas for the first week, and then moved back into the leggings and jersey maternity dresses of late pregnancy. My old jeans didn't fit until about four months pp. It was summer so I guess I wore a lot of dresses!

Leggings or jeggings, definitely first weeks best to wear the maternity ones going over. Or ones that come high up. I wore a pair that were too low down, and it was awful rubbing and annoying my new scar.
Loose tops, if breastfeeding or expressing get some with the zips on the side. Makes life easier. The ones with the flap some of them flap so much making a top redundant. I had a winter birth, but dresses now would work too.

Dresses if you can for the first week

I only wanted to wear stretchy and soft materials so mostly wore my pyjama pants with stretchy shirts/tops as I was constantly feeling hot and sweaty.

For tops, I’d recommend the becca batwing tops from phase eight. They’ve been doing them for years and they’re perfect for post c section belly.
