I had 1st degree tear and no stitches. How long will it take to heal on it's own?

Obviously was very pleased at first had no stitches but didn't appreciate that this meant have gaping tear in fanjo and I made the mistake of looking at it in a mirror yesterday

the MW says it's healing well and "granulating"?? can someone tell me how long it will take to get back to normal?

I had DC2 last Friday and had 1st degree tear after having 2nd degree tear and stitches with DC1. I was told by MW to make sure I lie down as much as possible, flat out, to take the pressure off my pelvic floor and therefore allow it to heal. Otherwise it's like an elastic band that's permanently tight and never allowed to relax. I have lay down more the last few days and definately feel much better - dare I say - almost back to normal now. Everyone's different but I reckon after a week you should feel pretty much fine.

Can't believe you looked! I couldn't bear to see!! Ouch!

Hope you feel "normal" soon!
