Hi all
I am 24 weeks pregnant with my 3rd baby.
8 years ago I heamoraged after the birth of my son. I lost 900 of blood.
I am scared out of my mind this is going to happen again this time.
Am I at higher risk?
All that I think about is this. I can't enjoy the pregnancy like I should be.

Any reassuring comments or experiences are welcome. Xxxx

If it’s less than 1000ml we would still consider you low risk here.
There are things that make it more likely- induction/hormone drip/ etc.
but honestly I wouldn’t worry about it.

I haemorrhaged with DD1 (similar amount to you) and was fine with DD2.
I had a low pre-pregnancy weight which meant I was referred for an appointment with a consultant. At that appointment I brought up the previous PPH and she wasn’t concerned at all. She said I didn’t need to give birth on the labour ward because of it. I ended up being induced due to PPROM, and even though an induction increases the risk of a PPH I was fine.

I am really worried of having a PPH again after the birth of my baby. Any recommendations to help prevent PPH would be extremely greatful. Xxx

I had similar bleeding with DD so shared similar concerns to you when it came to our second. The midwife and consultant both reassured me that level of bleeding wouldn’t have me considered as higher risk second time around and didn’t necessarily mean the same would happen again. Ultimately they were right and the bleeding with DS was minimal (I think it was around 300ml) and was a total non-event.
