C section whilst ill

Due to go for c section in 3 days. Been suffering with some kind of v bad cold/flu for 10 days now. Doesn't seem to be shifting. Has anyone else been in this situation? How was recovery? So far no one has mentioned anything about not going ahead.

I had a horrendous sinus infection just before my c section. The GP gave me antibiotics (I could have hugged him) but I was still recovering when I went into surgery. I was fine recovering from the c section.

I'd try resting as much as you can, if you have blocked sinuses try inhaling steam. I know there's not much you can take in terms of meds when you're pregnant.

Have you got your pre op soon? I've just had mine today ready for ELCS on Monday.

They take bloods then and did ask if I was feeling OK, any high temp or breathlessness/chest pains etc. If there were any concerns, that would be the time to mention them and get some reassurance.
