Hey,

I had an emcs on Saturday. I was soaking pads, today I’m 2 days post cs. The blood is tapering off? Not filling a pad really, not heavy at all. I just expected to have a bit of heavy bleeding for at least a week?

is this normal, everything online is just about heavy bleeding!

any advice, what was ur experience?

tia, lauren

Yes it’s perfectly normal. I’ve had 2 sections and I barely had any bleeding beyond the first 24 hours. Be warned though that it might pick up a bit again if you over exert yourself.

i was the same. Heavy for the first 24 hours. Really tapered off after that but as PP alluded to I do recall it kicking in again around day 5 as I started to move around a lot more (it was a bit like a heavy period) it wasn’t for more than a few days though.

Yes that sounds similar to my experience, although it did get a bit heavier again a few days later.

I thought I got off lightly as after day 1 it tapered off. However by about 7-10 days postnatal it got heavier again. It definitely was when I started getting more movement in, leaving the house more and even doing more at home. So just don't be surprised if it's up and down for a few weeks. Congratulations by the way!😊

Mine was on on and off for 2-3 weeks but I know it’s normal for different amounts and lengths of time

I had very little for 2 weeks then it all came out at once 15 days post section! Nothing after that either.
