Is this labour?!

This is my 3rd but I’ve been induced before so never really had this!

currently 38+6

ive had awful period type pain in my back, groin and lower abdomen for the last 24 hours and it definitely more painful today. I don’t think there is a pattern or anything to it yet.

I’ve had very dodgy bowel movements (with urgency) for a week. It improved but I’ve been about 6 times this morning! Don’t feel unwell in any other way.

just late pregnancy or maybe a sign of something????

TIA!

Are you still feeling the same way?

brambles89 · 20/02/2025 14:39

I felt like this last night (35+2) i put it down to posture! I went in to labour naturally with my first two and although the contractions started off like period pain/cramping there was definitely a pattern in that they came and went.

everyone is different though! Let us know how you get on

As in update, I had the baby at midday! Born very quickly and is beautiful!

so it definitely was a sign 😂😂

Oh blimey, congratulations! I was going to say if you're not sure then you're not in labour but I'm guessing things moved on very quickly to most definitely in labour!

nahthatsnotforme · 20/02/2025 19:36

I was about to say that's exactly how Labour started and then I read your update... congratulations!

CharlotteFlax · 20/02/2025 19:47

Congratulations! I was going to say it does sound like labour. Yay for a lunchtime baby!

Undrugged · 20/02/2025 19:49

Brilliant ! I think if you were previously induced with a drip you can think ‘this can’t be labour cos it’s not bad enough’

Congratulations!
