What time of day or night was your SECOND baby born?

My first labour was 11 hours from first twinge (4pm) to baby out and I am assuming (please do say if it was different for you!!!), that I will go in to labour once DD is in bed (i.e. once I'm relaxed). I'm also assuming that the 2nd labour will be quicker and am wondering what are chances of the whole thing happening while DD is asleep are!!!

About half seven in the morning.

I can't remember That's bad isn't it?? DD was 7.05pm.

Labour started about half six in the morning with DS. Sorry to say it was 10 hours longer though

(26 hours as opposed to 15 hours... my times are start to finish - established labour goes weirdy for me)

With DS2 I was uncomfortable for most of the night, but didn't feel proper contractions start until around 8am. He was born at 1.27pm.

Aha - the power of MN - 7,46am

1st time - started at 9am. Had DD 7.30am next day.

2nd time - went into labour at 5am. Had DS at 3pm same day.

2nd: waters 11.30pm, 1st contraction 11.45pm, baby born before midnight (999 call after baby delivered timed at 11.59pm)

[btw 1st: waters 11pm, 1st contraction 11.30pm, baby delivered at 00.36am]

dd1 19 hours established born 4.20 am Thursday morning
ds1 40mins established born 2.40 am Friday morning
ds2 6 hours established born 6.10 pm Thursday evening.

DS1 Twinges 7pm Friday, into hospital midnight, waters went 1.30am, baby born 5.07am Saturday morning (so 10hrs)

DS2 Twinges 4am Friday, on G&A 8am, baby born 11.31am (7.5hrs)

I think with DS2, the birth pool may have slowed it down a bit as by 11.15am I was feeling frustrated so got out of water to try to get gravity to assist, waters broke 11.20 and he was born in two or 3 pushes 11 mins later.

Next time will try to stay upright for longer!

Ds1 was long and slow, 1st twinges at about 7am and he was born 1:16pm the following day.

Ds2, 1st twinges at midnight, I had a contraction for at 20 min intervals for about 2 hours then they went stright to 2 minutes apart.

He was born at 3:45am.

(ds3 and ds4 started at about midnight too)

Interesting theory. With ds2 we waved goodbye to PIL about 11pm. Heaved a sigh of relief at the return of peace. Had a couple of glasses of wine and watched some rubbish telly. Went to bed 1:30-2 am. Woke up in labour at 5:15-5:30 am. He was born 8:30 am. Could not have been simpler.
Ds1 barely had a chance to miss me, though PIL obviously looked after him that day.
Ds1 was born at 8:30 pm. Went into labour whilst we were having a very late lunch in town. (Was also quick - 4 hours.)

DD1 officially in labour sunday night
Born emergency forcep delivery 12 noon Tuesday

DD2 In labour Friday 9pm
Born emergency cs 12.00 midnight, after 3 hours

all three I laboured through night - and were born around breakfast time.

ds1 - 2 days of labour and a 7.20pm birth.

ds2 - started contracting mildly at 5.30, 6am or so (after some contractions the night before but a good 6 hours' sleep), wandered complacently into hospital at 9.45, 10.23 am birth

baby 1 = 38 hours from first contraction to birth
= 4 hours from 5cm to birth
baby 2 = 4 hours from first contraction to birth
= about 1 hour from 5cm to birth

baby2 - 12.10pm (lunchtime)

first baby 09.03am
second baby 00.11am

Dd1 - 8:05am
Dd2 - 12:34pm

Dire first birth, was induced at 4pm, had emcs at 6.30pm the following day.

Second one, had a show at 3pm, waters broke at 4.30pm, baby arrived at 1.30am.

DS1 15:49 Sunday
DS2 10:15 Saturday

No idea how long my labours were as they were stop start false ones for a while... but DS was born at 3:17am, and DD was born at 3:25am.

From the last 'stop' I could hazard a guess that labour with DS was about 16 hours, with DD was about 9 hours.

Yes I'm hoping to have a homebirth - does that make it quicker?

DD1 was born at 4.05PM after 24 hours of labour and forceps delivery.

DD2 was born at 10.26AM after about 4 hours of labour and an amazingly short second stage.
