I have a cold

Hi mums

I have a c- section scheduled for 2 days from now however I've just come down with a cold . What happens now if I can't get rid of it before then . Will I just have to wear a face mask or something ?

I can't sleep because I am stressing so I'm waking up every hour panicking . I haven't had a cold my whole pregnancy so the timing is very bad .

Don't stress, it'll be fine

Personally I’d ask if I could push it back but it depends on the reason for the section. Have you got a cough? A cough and healing from a c-section doesn’t sound fun.

Just make sure you have an extra pillow to hug on your tummy for if you sneeze!

It'll be fine, I had a horrid cold when I went into labour and then ended up in an emergency c section.
