Does it look like my wound has opened up? I’m 3 weeks pp and tonight my stitches started to hurt to the point where I couldn’t sleep, so I got a mirror to take a look and saw this.

It looks ok to me but I'm no medic. You might just have moved in a bit of a funny way. It took 8 weeks for mine to fully heal.

It doesn’t look opened up, that part looks like it’ll heal nicely on its own now if you keep it clear from bacteria x

It might be a little inflamed and swollen inside. Try and take it easy, lay on the couch/in bed on your side to keep the pressure off it.

Sit on the loo and pour warm water from a jug over the area.

Maybe take some ibuprofen and see how it goes. Hope you get some sleep tonight.

If it doesn’t settle contact your GP on Monday.
