Vaginal Birth or C Section after C Section and with GD

I had my son around 2 years ago and had gestational diabetes. Due to concerns over the size of my baby, a C Section was recommended. Although he was only born at 8lb 05oz all went well with the section and recovery although painful was fine. I am now 32 weeks pregnant and have been told that I can opt for a vaginal birth or a Section again. I have GD again, so will have the baby between 37 and 38 weeks. If I choose vaginal I'll be induced. I also have a 14yr old son who was born naturally and I was induced then which was horrendous. There are risks with both scenarios and my consultant hasn't committed to telling me which option he thinks I should go for. He wants me to decide but I don't know what to do!!! Any advice from anyone who has been in a similar situation would be appreciated

I was also induced due to GD, got to 9cm but then needed an ECS. I know the recovery will be harder with both a baby and a toddler but if I have another I would def just have a planned c section. Don't know if I was unlucky or if people generally experience more pain when induced but I'd still pick the c section recovery over the pain of being induced.

Good luck, hope all goes well x
