35+5 3rd baby is this the start?

Hi mommas, just as the title says really! I’m 35+5 3rd baby and for past 3 days have had regular loose bowel movements (7+ a day) (soft) infact I even woke at 3am to go the toilet which I’ve never done in my life. The other night I was having quite strong braxton hicks which then I had a few hours of regular contractions (7:30pm-4am) got in the shower and they died off. Now today I’m getting period type pains starting in back and working way round, kinda how I am when I’m starting period, if I wasn’t so pregnant I’d swear it was my period. I know with it being my 3rd baby I should know but I never went into natural labour by myself with either boys I was induced both times so never really have experienced labour naturally. The pains aren’t enough to be like oh crap but enough to know they’re there if that makes sense. I’ve got a whole load of pressure which I seen midwife yesterday and she said her head is right down but I know this doesn’t really mean much. I was never this uncomfortable with the other two and especially this early. I guess I’m asking could this be a start or do you think it’s body getting ready or am I just reading into every twinge. By no means do I want this to be the start even if I am ready to evacuate as I’d prefer to make it to her due date or as close as I can get but guess that’s not really down to me 🤦‍♀️ but rather the tiny human who has taken over my body 😂

for anyone who replies Thankyou for reading (long I know) x x x

I went into labour naturally and this is almost exactly how things started with me!! Good luck! Have you had any progression since this morning?

It could be but it also might not be😆 helpful I know. I remember at 38 weeks I could've sworn I was going into labour then a week later I had the same pains so brushed it off but it really was that time and he arrived 3.5 hours later!
Lots of luck!

I would call your maternity unit and ask for advice. You aren’t yet at term so they may want to give steroid injections to help baby along a little. Sending lots of luck

Maybe get checked out? Mucus plug was the thing for me and waters leaking that gave it away

I had contractions for weeks with my third. I remember thinking at 34 weeks this might be it. I went into labour at 40+1. My first was 39+6 and second was 41+5

Thankyou for replies….. so still getting period type pains coming and going… I’ve taken paracetamol and had a shower as it eased the symptoms the other day but no they’re still going…. Even collecting my son from school was effort today. I have phoned midwife who has said to keep an eye on them and if still got them tomorrow to go in and get checked or if they ramp up. I’m trying to stay positive but something tells me she may be making an early exit. So much so I’ve packed my hospital bag cleaned everywhere ironed sobs uniform for the next week just incase. Washed all baby clothes and been shopping as partner well he’s useless at shopping brilliant dad but not very domesticated (we’re working on it) 😂 I was more than prepared with the other two but considering one was day before dd and the one was day after dd I just thought I had more time. Hoping I still have. Currently sitting here with a hot water bottle as if I was on period they are getting stronger but still not the ooooooow kind of pains to know it was 100% contractions. There really should be some sort of baby on the way alarm to let us know other than having to second guess every twinge xx
