Placenta left after giving birth

I gave birth 7 months ago, I didn't have great experience and lots of mistakes were made. I was in a critical condition after giving birth. Now 7 months after of suffering with tummy pain decided to go privately to have a scan and doctors were shocked I had sooo much placenta left. Recovering from operation now and going back for review in weeks time. Doctor doesn't now how much damages has been done until my scan next week.
Anyone had similar experience? How is this possible!?

That's horrible, it's really unacceptable from the hospital, it really affected me

I almost died. I hemorrhaged and developed sepsis.

OMG .. I'm so sorry to hear that
I had my operation last week and have a 3D scan next week as apparently my uterus is now damaged
Not sure if you have done anything but I might have to take this further legally, it put me and my partner through hell

Oh my goodness, how scary. Once the physical side is resolved, I'd be looking into some trauma counselling through your GP as I imagine it's really taken a toll on you.

You should be making a complaint at least, for all the other women that will give birth tnere.

I did think of doing it. (My uterus ended up rotting inside and had to be reconstructed). None of this was done by the NHS because they just kept giving me antibiotics

The doctors were absolutely appalled by the level of incompetence I encountered at the hospital and the GP surgery (who kept fobbing me off).

By the time I was fine I had no energy left to sue them or write a complaint.

Thanks to that I'll never trust the NHS again.

It's terrible, I will definitely take this further as I don't want any other woman to go through this!
Firstly they didn't look after me properly during birth, nearly died as lost soooo much blood. Took few days in hospital to recover to after 6 month later finding out doctor couldn't even access my uterus! That's how much placenta was left and I was in pain all this month for nhs to say my body is still recovering after giving birth. I have done all procedures privately as don't want them to touch me anymore.
Feel sorry for every woman to go through and partners that have to witness all of that.
