HI I think I am finally going to meet our boy in the next 24 hours, I should be really pleased to be experiencing these pains I am having mild contractions every 5 mins or so, the pain isn't too bad yet-I am so scared though with it being baby numebr 3 I just don't know what to do with myself, (So I started to tidy the kitchen!!!) Just took second lot of paracetamol and am anticipating a bath, please advise if you are out there-DFo I ring labour ward yet because it is baby#3, do I ring MIL as she will need to come,do I watch telly iwth TENS? (I am too nervous to sleep at the minute and feel sick with nerves-I know I shoul relax). My worst fear is delivering baby in the car or being stuck in the hospital waiting room in full labour with a load of strangers and worst off not getting the pain relief I would like in time ( I want an epidural due to last 2 bad labours if possible)DD1-18 hours,DD2 8 hours.PLEASE help me decide the next step!(Hospital 20 mins away)MIL 10 mins from ours.........I AM SCARED AND EXCITED AND SICK AND UNCOMFORTABLE etc etc ....

I know that you're scared of the pain darling (and guessed that the hospital would say that)! BUT... this is one pain that comes for a good reason. Your body needs to open up to let the baby out. You should try to relax into the pain rather than fight it. If you fight it you will tense and close your body. Then your body and baby fight each other and the pain intensifies.

Allow yourself to rest my angel and when it gets bad allow yourself to go into your zone.

As to your other 2 children. Well you'll be bringing them a baby (as my DD2 used to say "in true life") and that's a wonderful thing. Of course you'll miss them but you won't be gone for long and you'll come back with a wonderful gift.

So... in short.... EAT, DRINK, PEE and REST!!!!!!!!

Turn things off and down when you feel yourself slipping into that zone. All will be well. Relax and TRUST your body.
