How late can you request a c-section?

I’m 23 weeks, and certain now I want to go for an elective Caesarian for various reasons! Have I left it too late? I have a midwife appointment scheduled for 25 weeks; will they say no now because I didn’t raise this earlier?

You can request one whilst you are in labour! So you are definitely not too late. Mine was booked when I was 36w ish after they found DD2 was breech, but you can certainly mention it to your midwife at your next appointment to get the ball rolling, as you'll need to go through all the risks vs benefits with a consultant before it is signed off.

Mine was about 4 days before my due date!

Pretty close to the end, I think easily until week 34

They don't tend to schedule them until around 37-38 weeks, so you've plenty of time. Xxx
