1 week overdue - what started labour for you?

Hello,

This is my first pregnancy and I'm currently 41 weeks today meaning I'm overdue 1 week. I lost my mucus plug 2 days ago and having achy pains but not sure if they are contractions as they are not regular. I have tried the mile circuit, drank teas, exercised. My doula checked heartbeat and everything is fine, baby is moving, reacting well to things, she's just too comfortable haha

What helped you start labour?

Being induced at the hospital, 10 days over with DC1, 17 days over DC2, on due date DC3, 14 days over DC 4.

🤷🏽‍♀️

Unfortunately the baby will come when it likes regardless of what you do.

Don’t get too stressed out about it - relaxing is probably the best thing you can do.

I was induced at 15 days overdue and had spent a month doing all sorts of things to get labour moving.

Sorry OP!

A verrrrrry aggressive stretch and sweep by a doctor with long, witchy fingers (do not recommend)

DC1 - I had a sweep and a curry - who knows whether either of them helped
DC2 - sex got things moving
DC3 was early!
