How long after losing mucus plug did labour start?

Hi, I’m 39+5 FTM and have been desperately trying everything to start labour naturally before my induction on Monday - 1 failed sweep, sex, kerb walking, miles circuit, bouncing on ball etc. I’ve just lost a bit of my mucus plug, and wondering if this is a good sign that things might start moving soon, and how long after losing their plug did you start labour?

TIA 😊

For me, a week this time around. Kept losing little bits of it for the lead up to labour. Totally normal for first babies to be about a week past the due date I think. If you're dreading the induction can you push it back a few days to give yourself a chance to start spontaneous labour?

Next day for me

Couple of hours for me, exciting! Good luck!

Is it your bloody show or just the clear plug? Because the clear plug can grow back

I lost my plug with my first about 8:30am and she was born the next afternoon

I've only lost my mucus plug twice naturally. Once while in active labour and the other the day before my waters broke.

It was just the plug, no blood. Nothing has happened all afternoon. I can’t push the induction back as I’ve got high BP and gestational diabetes. Hopefully things will move naturally or at least with the peasant, just trying to avoid pitocin!

Oh yeah sorry mine was my plug and bloody show. I also was having twinges too

It's still a great sign that your body is prepping for labour, should help things move along nicely for you if you do have to be induced. Best of luck and congrats on your upcoming arrival!

My first pregnancy I lost some plug after both sweeps I had, I think it was the sweep that caused it to loosen up. After my 2nd sweep I went into labour that night and continued to lose my plug throughout labour

My 2nd pregnancy I lost no plug beforehand, went into labour, lost my bloody show 5.5 hours into labour and baby was born 25 minutes after 🤣

First baby lost the mucus plug around 11am , contractions started 11pm and waters broke 1am.

36 hours later no baby so they made me have a c section.

second baby - fck knows!! It was a shit show
