Should I wait til due date to start all the tried and tested methods? Really want baby to come early/on time. Any reason why it would be dodgy to start now as I think 39 weeks counts as term anyway doesn't it??

Have to say though that if baby is not ready to come then nothing will make it come! (sorry)

Hi its 37 weeks your counted as term from I started trying all the methods at 38 weeks but as Mumofmonsters says they come when they are ready thus I am 39+5 today! but good luck

so won't do baby any harm then. Ok raspberry leaf tea etc here I come.
Did all this with ds btw and he was still 13 days late, but didn't start til due date with him.

I thought my 2nd was ready to go from 38 weeks and mw confirmed it. 41+3 she turned up, ignored every encouragement, and had to be induced. And she's just as stubborn now about going her own way .

It can't hurt though and can be entertaining to try...!

They come when they're ready, rather than when you are, sadly...dd was 15 days late and I was going quietly crazy. Then ds was 15 days early and I was woefully underprepared as I was expecting another 30 days or so of lounging around enjoying maternity leave...

Don't think 38 weeks is too early. No-one batted an eyelid when ds turned up, though I do have a theory that he'd have benefited from another couple of weeks cooking. Just didn't seem as ready to be alive as his sister...
