Episiotomy scar not correct

Hi all, I’m over a year postpartum flowing a third degree tear and episiotomy.

I don’t think the episiotomy was carried out correctly from looking at the scar. Did anyone else have a botched episiotomy? It’s really affected my self esteem as I feel mutilated down there 😢

Have you seen a doctor about it since? Does it impact you in any other way or do you just not like the look of it?

Yeah they just said it’s healed fine.. it still hurts when touched and pulls if I sit or move in certain ways. I’m not sure cosmeticly if they can do something as it would make more scar tissue?

I’m just upset that I don’t think it was carried out correctly looking online at diagrams and I’ve needlessly got 2 scars.

I have no experience of episiotomy scars only c section scars and other scarring, they do take a while to settle down and heal. I don't know if you can use silicone scar therapy gel in that area?
