C section nerves

Booked in for elective c section this Sunday (3days time) ( first time was an emergency section)

Anxiety and nerves are a bit out of control at the moment

I’m just terrified of the surgery and complications, my mind tends to go to worst case scenarios.

Just after positive stories and reassurance

I've had two elective CSections due to both being breach and they were absolutely amazing. They were both such calm and lovely experiences. Everyone in the operating theatre were so friendly and in good spirits. Held both DD's straight away for skin to skin. I think I may have been really lucky but recovery with both was really quick. Out with both within 24hrs and walking around the next day. I felt a bit bettered and bruised but absolutely nothing like I was expecting.

@Edelweiss6529 oh that makes sense. We don't have any other dependants, only dogs which we've got family taking care of for the day/evening while in hospital. So I think DH is staying with us overnight and we've got a side room (waiting for it to be confirmed). Which to be honest, I'll prefer, as I hate hospitals, having someone familiar with me consistently will make me feel more at ease.
My midwife did mention about a midwife coming around the the house on day 2, but she said it's not a must have (it's to check how we're doing and if feeding is going ok) so I'm going to wait and see how I feel and if I don't think I need it I'll be asking to skip that visit. I think I'll appreciate my own space and bubble. Just a waiting game now! Everything ready to go, got a couple more weeks left at work before I finish (week and half off before csection)! Just ready to not be pregnant anymore 😂
