has anyone, fairly recently, had a homebirth in Lewisham? Looking for some experiences!

2 brilliant home births with the Lewisham and Greenwich community midwives. I cannot tell you how you how amazing they are. Go for it. You can always transfer in if you have to.

I am not concerned about having to transfer in for medical reasons, more worried about there not being enough (home) midwives on the day

2019 and 2021. Had one planned for 2023 but decided to go to hospital with that one at the very last minute but all my antenatal community care was with the home birth team. They were honestly excellent... so much more relaxed and pro woman and baby than the ward staff. After two home births being on a post natal ward was quite a shock to the system and I hated every second of it.
