C section drapes down

Have the option to have the drapes lowered for upcoming section. I would say I'm quite squeamish but as long as I only see baby I would be fine.
Others that have had drapes down can I have your thoughts please?

You can't see anything - they remain high enough to keep everything from sight. The drapes are usually really high, so they are lowered enough to allow you see the baby being lifted up once out.

Hey, I've been both sides of the drapes as staff and as patient. The incision is made over the horizon of your bump so to speak. And between that, the drapes, and your boobs, it's actually quite difficult to see anything at all. Plus you tend to focus on the very important person that has just appeared.

I had always recommended it to patients prior to having a C-section, and now I've had one, I cannot overstate how much I loved seeing my baby being lifted up for me to see.

20/10 would recommend to everyone.

Yeah they lower it so you can see the baby. They lift them up and you see their first little cry / the sex etc,
It’s all very lion king and I remember both fairly vividly

Apart from that you see nothing.
