Hiya I had a pessary, gels and then the hormone drip with my first at 35w and it took 6 days to give birth. We had to take a couple of breaks and my body was not ready in any way to give birth yet. I gave birth vaginally.

My second child my waters broke and I didn't go into labour. We waited 24 hours and then I had the gel. After the gel, I gave birth the same day naturally and this was a much less stressful birth, I was very relaxed. This baby was 9lb 15oz, so not a small one.

I hope you're doing ok, it's cliche but try to stay as calm as you can. If you did hypnobirthing think about all things you learned. With my second child I watched my favourite show on my iPad in the ward with my headphones in and it kept me really chilled out. Wishing you all the best
