Is this labour?

5 days overdue with no signs of labour starting. I suddenly got an intense cramp in my belly, worse than any period pain I've ever had. It lasted about 20 minutes. I thought contractions were supposed to come and go, not last that long. Is this normal, and is this the start of labour?

Yes, contractions are generally much shorter than that. Have you had anything else since?

I've had some more cramping, but nowhere near as severe as the first time. It's on and off and usually lasting 5 to 15 mins, so not contractions. I wonder if it's a pre labour thing? I otherwise feel fine and baby is moving a lot.
