Hi I was wondering if anyone has had a natural birth after two C sections.
I am on my 5th pregnancy.
My history is...
I'm 40 years old.
My son 19 years ago was stillborn and natural birth, my second son 17 years ago was c section due to being breach and after my first child I didn't want him touched but went into labour without intervention at 36 weeks.
13 years ago my daughter was born by c section at 34 as I went into labour and the labour didn't progress and her heart rate dropped and then 4 years ago my son was born stillborn, with a natural labour.
I've spoken to the consultant and she's told me I can't have a natural birth and have to have a c section.
My worry is my recoveries from c sections were horrible and my son 17 year old son is autistic and my daughter is in comprehensive and needs to get there and home and I won't be able to drive.
My partner works away.
Sorry for the life story but I wanted to explain why I'm scared of another c section xxx.

I'd take your dr's advice and have the c section. The advantage of an elective c section is that you know exactly when it will be and can make plans around it, also the recovery is easier than after an emergency c section. Ask around to see if another parent from your daughter's school help you out with lifts. And congratulations!

with your complex obstetric history there's a lot more to factor in than the details in your OP and your obstetric consultant is the only person who can really put it all together for you. Even if you were to decide against their advice and trial labour there must be a high chance of another emergency section so you'd need to have a plan for looking after your other children whatever you decide.
