Hi all, looking for positive stories as when I search for long early labours I've not found anything like my experience so far.
My first contraction was last Friday, then since last Saturday I've had regular periods of between 2-24 hours where they've been at least every few minutes, lasting at least a minute long. I've seen the midwives a few times now, each time they've thought things were establishing because of the frequency and timing, but on examination I've still been in the early/latent phase. Things are changing as my cervix was nearly completely thinned on Monday compared to the first exam, but I'm still just under 2cm and no clue when it'll progress. I'm 40+5 still and before this all started felt completely ok about going over my due date, but after nearly 2 weeks of early labour I'm finding it quite hard, but really want to stay positive.
I had a sweep on Monday and since then have had regular contractions again, last night they were really strong for 4 hours then things have settled again.
Would really appreciate any positive stories of similar experiences, I'm getting tired but trying to rest and relax as much as possible and be patient!
