Hi all, first time pregnancy here! Just looking for some advice or any similar experiences. My baby is measuring large (over the 90th centile) and I have been been told I have gestational diabeties. They booked me in for an induction Monday just gone so three days ago, when I got there my cervix was 1cm and was sofetening, I had the pessary inserted started getting pains etc. 24 hours later they took the pessary out said I was 2-3cm dilated and gave me a really good sweep, they said my waters were buldging. That night I got sent home to wait for my waters to break naturally or I’m on the waiting list to have my waters broke which they said is five days long. I’m still have some blood mix of red and brown from the sweep and feel like baby’s movements have slowed down. I’m just a bit concerned waiting that long if my waters don’t break naturally especially because they are saying he will be too big and in total that’s another week and if anyone has got any advice on how to get your waters to break. Thank you so much.

I don’t have any experience of what you’re describing (when I had pessary induction, DC was born 24 hours later), but you’ve said you feel like your baby’s movements have slowed down - please tell your midwife/ go to your maternity unit asap. Don’t know if you’re in the UK, but the advice here is to get checked out if you think there’s any change in movements, even right at the end. Probably nothing to worry about, but please go and get checked this morning x
