I was just wondering whether you had had you littled one yet and whether you were happy with the care of your IMW (I am thinking of hiring her). If you are around I would be grateful if you would let me know how it went.

sorry, only just spotted this thread - nearly a year too late! I never think to look in the childbirth thread, and only found this because of the new search, being lazy and typing my name in...

don't know if you did got for an IMW - I did and it was fantastic, made the whole birth experience so much less stressful.

I didn't want a home birth but was happy to come home from hospital 4 hours after giving birth knowing that I had such good support close by. For me it was the best of both worlds (especially given the consultant hadn't spotted that I was in labour less than 30 mins before baby was born! ).
